What a busy week it has been. It was the first week in about three weeks that we worked all week long. Because of that, it felt so long!!! I realized that there were numerous classes that I had not seen for three weeks due to snow days and ITBS testing.
When the weekend finally rolled around, we spent some great quality time as a family. We took the girls to the playground around the block. D rode her bike there, while Little L rode in the stroller. Everyone went on the slides and swings. We ran around, climbed the playground, and had a great time. The weather has been amazing here and we wanted to get as much outside time as possible.
Then, out of nowhere, our perfect weekend takes a turn for the worse. Little L started running a fever on Saturday night. We don't know why, and she isn't complaining about her ears or acting sick. The problems come when it is time to go to sleep and she cannot sleep through the night. She tosses and turns and wakes up screaming.
Saturday night, husband and I took turns interacting with her. We held her, fed her, walked with her, etc. The amount of sleep deprivation is starting to kick in for both husband and I. Little L and D took conflicting naps, so we didn't even get a time to nap. Since she is sick, we have been cleaning her bedding and her room. When she is awake, after she plays, she just wants to be held. That is hard since she changes her mind on who she wants to hold her.
She is feeling better now, and is down, for the night hopefully. Wish us all a good night's sleep.
